摘要 A portable device and a method for controlling a DPD mode of a shared memory are provided to minimize power consumption by operating the memory in the DPD mode even if a plurality of processors share one memory. The first/second determiner(530a,530b) generates and outputs the first/second DPD entry signal by determining entry of the DPD mode based on analysis of signals received from the first/second processor. A DPD determiner(535) permits the DPD mode when the first and second DPD mode signal is received the first and second determiner. The first or second determiner generates/outputs a DPD exit signal by determining exit of the DPD mode based on the analysis of the signals received from the first or second processor. The DPD determiner permits an active or standby mode if the DPD exit signal is received from at least one of the first and second determiner. The signal includes a clock enable signal, a chip select signal, a write enable signal, and a row/column address strobe signal.
