An electrical discharge machining electrode includes a body (11) and one or more shaped teeth (12). The one or more shaped teeth (12) of the body have a diffuser section and a metering section in electrical communication therewith. The body and the teeth may be formed by a process of photochemically etching a substrate made from an electrically conductive material.
