ELECTRON EMISSION DEVICE AND ELECTRON EMISSION DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME

An electron emission device and an electron emission display device using the same are provided to increase emission uniformity of electron emission units in pixels by modifying a shape of each cathode electrode. A plurality of cathode electrodes(6) are formed on a substrate. A plurality of gate electrodes(10) are formed on the substrate and are insulated from the cathode electrodes. A plurality of electron emission units(16) are electrically connected with the cathode electrodes. Each of the cathode electrodes includes a main electrode(61), isolation electrodes(62), and a resistant layer(63). The main electrode includes a plurality of openings which are positioned at both sides of a lower focusing part at each pixel region on the substrate. The isolation electrodes are positioned apart from the main electrode in the openings. The electron emission units are loaded on the isolation electrodes. The resistant layer is used for connecting electrically the main electrode with the isolation electrodes.
