PREPARATION METHOD OF VINYL CHLORIDE FROM METHANE

Provided is a method for preparing vinyl chloride from methane to improve conversion rate and selectivity, to simplify reaction and to lower manufacturing cost. The method comprises the steps of reacting a first reactant comprising methane, air and a chloride compound in the presence of a catalyst by oxychlorination to prepare a first product containing methyl chloride; reacting the first product in the presence of a catalyst by pyrolysis to prepare a second product containing ethylene; separating ethylene from the second product and reacting the separated ethylene with a second reactant comprising air and a chloride compound in the presence of a catalyst by oxychlorination to prepare a third product containing 1,2-dichloroethane; reacting the third product in the presence of a catalyst by pyrolysis to prepare a fourth product containing vinyl chloride; and separating vinyl chloride from the fourth product.
