<p>A railway passenger car has a toilet with a first tank supplying potable water to flush the basin, and a second tank to collect liquid effluent. The first tank has a supply connector hose fitting and the effluent tank has a discharge hose fitting. When not in use each hose and fitting is stowed in an individual compartment. Neither fitting is free to locate in the other compartment. Only one hose fitting may be withdrawn at a time. Simultaneous use is not possible. Access to both compartments is via a lockable lid which can only be closed if the respective hose fitting is correctly stowed.</p> |
