A cutting machine is provided to prevent damages or cracks from being generated at a processing object by controlling an operation of a cutting blade exchanging unit to automatically replace a damaged cutting blade with a new one. A cutting machine includes a pair of chuck tables(34a,34b), a pair of cutting units(37a,37b), a cutting blade exchanging unit(7), a damage detecting unit, and a control unit. The chuck tables include a processing object. The cutting unit separably mounts cutting blades. The cutting blade exchanging unit exchanges the cutting blades. The damage detecting unit checks a damage state of the cutting blades. The controller controls the cutting unit and the cutting blade exchanging unit according to a detecting signal transmitted from the damage detecting unit. The controller stops the operation of the cutting units to operate the cutting blade exchanging unit when the damaged state of the cutting blade is detected by the damage detecting unit. |
