1,084,572. Time switches. HOLZERPATENT A.G. Sept. 4, 1964 [Sept. 4, 1963; Nov. 29, 1963; April 24, 1964], No. 36467/64. Heading H2B. A directly or indirectly driven switching shaft operates contacts via cams, the shaft drive being overridden when the shaft is rotated manually, and the drive comprises a locking element such as pinion 55 resilientlypressed against opposed toothing (53) on the shaft or on a part connected thereto and providing positive angular positioning of the shaft. The cams are face cams 68 or edge cams (8), (Fig. 3, not shown). A spring-storing mechanism provides for quick movement of the switching shaft (Figs. 9, 13, not shown). The toothing may be symmetrical or asymmetrical and arranged such that manual rotation is possible in one direction only, (Figs. 2, 4, 11, not shown). Alternatively, the pinion 55 may be replaced by a locking roller (21) with a tooth space (22), (Figs. 5, 6, not shown), or a locking ratchet, (Fig. 8, not shown). The positively defined angular positions may coincide with switching positions. A step-bystep drive may be associated with the pinion. |
