An apparatus and a method for controlling charge of a battery are provided to support plural charging methods by controlling to change a charge end current according to the charging methods. A battery is charged by receiving a voltage. A control unit(32) controls to start the charging of the battery when a charging method is designated, and controls to finish the charging in response to the designated charging method. A storing unit(31) stores a charging end current corresponding to each charging method. The control unit includes a read unit reading the charging end current corresponding to the designated charging method from the storing unit, a calculation unit calculating a charging current of the battery, and a comparison unit comparing the calculated charging current with the read-out charging end current. The control unit controls to finish the charging, according to the comparison result.
