APPLIANCE AND METHOD FOR MEASURING AN EMG SIGNAL

The appliance has an electrical stimulator, and a pair of electrodes acquiring an electromyographic (EMG) signal. An acquisition chain (2) includes a unit for attenuating a stimulation artifact in the EMG signal and cooperates with a unit for adjusting amplification gain of the signal via a microcontroller (3), such that the signal covers a largest part of an input voltage range of an analog-to-digital converter. An independent claim is also included for a method for eliminating stimulation artifact in an electromyographic signal.
