There is provided a method for simultaneous bi-directional transmission of serial data, comprising the steps of differentially transmitting serial data in a first direction, and simultaneously transmitting serial data in a second direction which is opposite to the first direction by means of a common mode jump. Furthermore, there is provided a corresponding device.
