BACK LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

A backlight assembly and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to fix a lamp through a lamp ring contacted with the lamp as a point or a line, thereby reducing the deviation of temperature at the lamp fixing portion. Plural lamps(300) are received in a receiving container(200) and generate the light beam. A lamp ring is inserted into the lamp respectively. A lamp fixing member(320) is combined with the receiving container and fixes the lamp ring. A groove is formed along the outer circumference of the lamp ring. The lamp fixing member includes a lamp ring fixing member with an arch shape inserted into the groove of the lamp ring. A connection member connects the lamp ring fixing members. The lamp fixing member also includes a combining member combined with the receiving container and formed between the lamp ring fixing members. The lamp fixing member further includes a diffusion plate support for supporting a diffusion plate and formed between the lamp ring fixing members.
