An image forming apparatus is provided to prevent breakage according to the error operation of a device by a relatively simple structure and save manufacturing cost. An image forming apparatus includes a driving part(60), a lifting part(70), and an electromotive part(80). The lifting part(70) lifts a knock-up plate(51). The electromotive part(80) is located between the driving part(60) and the lifting part(70). The electromotive part(80) transmits driving force to the lifting part(70). When certain repulsive force is provided from the lifting part(70), the electromotive part(80) blocks the transmission of the driving force to the lifting part(70).
