A multi-stage zeolite pre-filtering system for a cigarette using zeolite powder or beads is provided to remove harmful substances in tobacco more efficiently through natural absorption property and cation exchange capacity of zeolite. A multi-stage zeolite pre-filtering system for a cigarette includes; a zeolite powder filter part(A) comprising tobacco leaf pieces and fine zeolite powder in a weight ratio of 95:5~90:10; a zeolite bead filter part(C) including bead shaped zeolite with 1mm of diameter, which has sufficient air permeability; and a existing filter part(B). During smoking, heavy metals having a strong affinity with zeolite such as cadmium, chrome, lead, and radon, and hydro carbonic harmful substances such as carbon monoxide, ammonia, formaldehyde, and benzene are absorbed into or attached to the zeolite. The harmful substances absorbed into or attached to the zeolite are undergone secondary oxidization or thermal decomposition during combustion of neighboring tobacco pieces. |
