A handsfree-type video door phone using an approach sensor is provided to immediately connect to a phone call when a visitor is approached to a terminal by using the approach sensor without pressing or touching a certain button. An approach sensor(140) senses the approach degree of a human body to a household terminal, converts the sensed approach degree into an electric signal, and outputs the electric signal. An approach sensor sensing unit(150) analyzes the electric signal outputted from the approach sensor(140), analyzes the electric signal according to distance, and outputs a signal indicating the analyzed result to the household terminal. A control unit(110) controls the input and output of various devices and sensors on the basis of the signal outputted from the approach sensor sensing unit(150). A display unit(130) displays a signal indicating various conditions outputted from the control unit(111). A front door camera(100) outputs a calling signal and an image signal indicating a photographed image to the control unit(110) and the display unit(130). A call unit(120) communicates with external devices such as the front door camera(100), a guardroom phone, a common front door machine, and a phone on the basis of the signal outputted from the control unit(110).
