A scanning device is provided to quickly convert an image signal of a scanned document into an image signal and reduce time needed for converting the image signal into the image data. A light source module(21) outputs light to the document. A photoelectric conversion unit(23) includes a plurality of photoelectric converters separated with each other, converting the light reflected from a part of the document into the image signals of a part of pixels, and outputting the partial image signals. A storing part(25) stores the partial image signals received from the photoelectric conversion unit. A signal interpolator(27) forms the image signal of the remaining pixels of the partial image data by mutually interpolating the partial image signals. The photoelectric converters are arranged in lines and the neighboring photoelectric converter is arranged to the neighboring line including the photoelectric converter. The photoelectric converters convert the different lines of the document into the image signals at the same time. |
