APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR COMMUNICATION BETWEEN TWO DIFFERENT BUSES

A device and a method for communicating between two different buses are provided to enable more destination registers to access a restricted address area by assigning a destination register address to a data area of the bus not an address area when the destination register address for discriminating a register of a destination device is assigned to the bus. A processor(200) transmits the destination register address and data to a bus bridge(220). The bus bridge generates an indirect address message and an indirect data message by using the destination register address and the data, and transmits the messages to the destination device(240). The destination device checks the destination register address and the data by receiving the messages, and stores the data to the searched destination register. The processor receives a write completion message from the bus bridge in finish of writing by transmitting a write completion check request message to the bus bridge after transmitting the destination register address and the data.
