#CMT# #/CMT# A first liquid and a second liquid comprising a thickener are mixed together immediately before, during or after injection into the wall (1) in order to form an impermeable layer for the subsequently injected water-repellent products. #CMT# : #/CMT# A method for treating walls to protect against rising damp comprises injecting one or more liquid, water-repellent products into the wall at a second level (B) after having first of all formed a layer impermeable to these products at a first level (A) below the second level by injecting a first liquid and a second liquid comprising a thickener for the first liquid. These two liquids are mixed together immediately before, during or after injection into the wall. An independent claim is also included for the apparatus used to carry out this method, comprising a two or multi-component dosing or injection installation with at least two separate reservoirs (12, 13) and an outlet (7) with two or more separate channels (14, 15), each of which is connected to one of the reservoirs and has its free end in communication with a common outlet nozzle (16). #CMT#USE : #/CMT# For protecting e.g. brick walls against rising damp. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# Lower viscosity liquids are used, allowing injection into the wall at lower pressure which reduces the risks of stones or bricks in the wall cracking, as well as allowing better penetration of the water-repellent products into the wall. Alternatively, the first liquid can be water and the second liquid is a polar solvent containing biomolecules or the second liquid is a polyvinylalcohol. |
