<p>A door handle device is provided to allow a user to smoothly manipulate a door open lever by preventing a door open lever from quickly returning to its initial position when pulling force applied to the door open lever is released. A door handle device comprises a braking device(7) for applying resistance to movement of a piston. A pressing section(2c) of a door open lever(2) has a cam surface(2d). In the braking device(7), a piston rod(72) is fixed to the innermost side of a receiving section(9), a gap(9c) is formed between the outer surface of a cylinder(70) and the inner surface of the receiving section(9), and the innermost end(70a) of the cylinder(70) is constantly urged and butted against the cam surface(2d) of the door open lever(2). When the door open lever(2) is not operated, the cam end(2e) of the cam surface(2d) is butted against the innermost end(70a) of the cylinder(70).</p> |
