A method for manufacturing an ink jet recording head is provided to reduce the number of photolithography processes and manufacture at low cost efficiently by attaching a layer on a side wall of a flow path. A method for manufacturing an ink jet recording head including a substrate(1) equipped with an energy generating element(2) for generating energy to discharge ink, and a supply port(13) for supplying the ink to the energy generating element, a discharge port(11) for discharging the ink, the discharge port formed in the substrate; and a flow path forming member(9) for forming a flow path to make the discharge port communicate with the supply port comprises the steps of forming side walls of the flow path on the substrate, pasting a layer on the side walls, the layer being a part of the flow path forming member, and forming the discharge port in the dry film. |
