A method and a device for providing a streaming service with selected images are provided to reduce time and network resources by enabling a user to capture a still or section image during playback of a moving picture, and store the captures still or section image, and information received from a user at the same time. A moving picture managing/streaming module(111) enables a streaming provider to stream data for the moving picture to the first computer(130) in response to a moving picture file transfer request. When the first user selects one frame of the moving picture played in the first computer and inputs the first character string for the selected image, a data storing/managing module(113) stores the selected image information, the first character string information, and the relation information. The moving picture managing/streaming module transmits the streaming data of the moving picture file, the selected image information, the character string information, and the relation information to the second computer(150). The data storing/managing module plays the requested selected image or streams the requested selected image section to the second computer from the buffered information by a buffering result.
