DATA TRANCEIVING METHOD IN DIGITAL MULTIMEDIA BROADCASTING SYSTEM AND SYSTEM THEREOF

A method for transmitting/receiving data in a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) system and a system thereby are provided to lower the complexity in comparison with an MPE(Multi-Protocol Encapsulation) scheme by applying a ULE(Ultra Lightweight Encapsulation) scheme to a DMB-H system. A DMB-H system(600) comprises a transmitter(620) and a receiver(640). The transmitter(620) receives an IP packet from an upper layer, establishes a TPS(Transmission Parameter Signalling) bit, which indicates whether the use of ULE is required, and executes ULE packetizing according to TPS setup. The receiver(640) demodulates the packet data received from the transmitter(620), confirms the TPS bit, and executes associated ULE decapsulation.
