An injection molding system utilizes pre-assembled modular molds (3). The moldyinterface with an injection molding machine through standardized injectionand ejection interfaces. A standardized runner clamp plate (1) and ejector clampplate (2) may be integral to the injection molding machine or attached to the injectionmolding machine for interfacing the mold to the injection molding machine. Aquick-connect mechanism (18, 19) may be used to couple an active ejection mechanism(11) in the injection molding machine with integral ejector components (5) inthe mold.
