A gypsum board comprising gypsum, charcoal powder and illite and reinforced with pine needles is provided to be used as well-being construction material with excellent soundproofness, flame retardancy, deodorizing effect and removal of contamination without emission of volatile organic compounds and a method for producing the same is also provided. A gypsum board comprises 40 to 50 weight parts of gypsum, 25 to 35 weight parts of illite powder, 15 to 25 weight parts of charcoal powder and 7 to 15 weight pars of pine needles. The charcoal powder has a particle size of 30 to 150 mesh. 25 to 35 wt% of the pine needles is crushed to a particle size of 5 to 20 mm. The gypsum board is prepared by mixing 40 to 50 weight pars of calcined gypsum, 25 5o 35 weight parts of illite powder, 15 to 25 weight parts of charcoal powder and 7 to 15 weight parts of pine needles, adding water to the mixture in a mixing rate of 1:1, forming the mixture in a panel shape, drying the panel and applying a synthetic resin for gel coat.
