An image processing system, an image processing device, a method therefor, a program, and a recording medium are provided to allow a desired image to have a relatively little throughput and be searched. An image processing system includes a device for photographing an image and an image processing device for processing the image. The device has a photographing unit, the first recording unit, and the first transmission control unit. The photographing unit photographs the image. The first recording unit records information, which is associated with the image has relativity with the image as data having a certain data structure. The first transmission control unit controls the transmission of the image to the image processing device. The image processing device has a reception control unit(109), a feature extracting unit, the second recording unit, and the second transmission control unit(108). The reception control unit(109) controls the reception of the image transmitted from the photographing unit. The feature extracting unit extracts a feature of the received image. The second recording unit records the feature, which is extracted from the image and has relativity with the image as data having a certain data structure. The second transmission control unit(108) controls the transmission of the feature to the photographing unit. |
