A softening composition for treating tissue products is disclosed. The softeningcomposition comprises a combination of particular amino-functional polysiloxanesand alkoxylated alcohols in particular proportionate amounts. When appliedto tissue products at add-on levels of less than about 5% by weight, the softeningcomposition has been found not only to improve the softness of the product butalso not to substantially interfere with the wettability characteristics ofthe sheet.
