<p>A load displacement apparatus (10) to displace a mobile platform (20) along astructure (22) includes a worm screw (24) mounted on the platform (20) for rotationabout its axis (26) that meshes with a plurality of support blocs (28) mountedon the structure (22). The support blocs (28) are spaced apart from one anotheralong the structure (22) to be successively engaged by the worm screw (24). Eachsupport bloc (28) includes at least one bearing ball (34) freely movably supportedtherein to selectively and movably engage the worm screw (24) over at least anarc segment (33) thereof such that the worm screw (24) is always in meshing engagementwith at least one of the support blocs (28). The invention also refers to a scaffoldingsystem (12) incorporating the apparatus (10).</p> |
