A device equipped with a shared memory and a method for providing access state information of the shared memory are provided to increase usability of the memory by dividing a storage area of the shared memory into a plurality of divided areas and minimize data transfer time among processors by permitting each processor to access the shared area among the divided areas. The shared memory(310) includes the common area combined with the processors through each independent bus and having the plurality of storage areas, and generates and outputs the access state information whether processor accesses more than one common areas or not. The common area to which individual processor, 2<=k<=n; n is a natural number and k is the number of process, connection is available while not overlapping each other. The processors comprise a main processor(210) and the application processors(220). The application processors are respectively connected to the main processor through an independent control bus and perform a process according to a control signal received through the control bus. The application processor receiving the control signal reads and processes the data written to the common area by the main processor.
