METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SELECTIVELY PROCESSING TEST DATA USING SUBSCRIPTIONS IN A MULTI-FORMATTER ARCHITECTURE

A device and a method for selectively processing test data by using subscription in a multi-formatter architecture are provided to minimize usage of computer resources in a viewpoint of time/memory used by a processor, as the device is operated during a test process of an actual device. A set of designators(102) specifies types of test data and each designator corresponds to each test data type. The set of client formatters(104) records the test data to output files. Each client formatter identifies at least one of designator corresponding to the test data type. A monitor(108) examines the test data by polling the client formatters for the designators in the client formatters. The monitor enables storage of the test data corresponding to the designator identified by polling. The monitor enables bypass of the test data corresponding to the designator unidentified by the polling.
