The present invention discloses a disposable cleaning product for use in householdcleaning or personal care applications. The cleaning product (10) of the inventionis a multi-layer laminate product and may include at least two distinct layers,an abrasive layer (12) and an absorbent layer (16). The absorbent layer containsa sponge-like member (20) optionally in combination with a plurality of cellulosicfibrous webs (18). The sponge-like member can be made from various materials.For example, in one embodiment, the sponge-like member comprises one or morelayers of a spunbond web containing crimped, bicomponent filaments.
