Provided are a method for preparing 3(4),7(8)-bis(aminomethyl)bicyclo[4.3.0]nonane to improve production yield, and the 3(4),7(8)-bis(aminomethyl)bicyclo[4.3.0]nonane prepared by the method. The method comprises the steps of reacting bicyclo[4.3.0]nona-3,7-dienol and a synthesis gas in the presence of a transition metal compound of group 8 in periodic table containing a complex-bonded organic phosphorus compound and an excessive amount of an organic phosphorus compound in a uniform organic phase at a temperature of 70-160 deg.C and at a pressure of 5-35 MPa to obtain 3(4),7(8)-bisformylbicyclo[4.3.0]nonane; and reacting the obtained 3(4),7(8)-bisformylbicyclo[4.3.0]nonane by reductive amination to obtain 3(4),7(8)-bis(aminomethyl)bicyclo[4.3.0]nonane.
