An organic electro-luminescent display device and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce power consumption by controlling a driving source voltage supplied to an optical sensor according to power save and wait modes. An organic electro-luminescent display device includes a pixel unit(100), a data driver(200), a scan driver(300), and an optical sensor(500). The pixel unit reproduces images by receiving data and scan signals. The data driver generates the data signal and a driving source voltage, and delivers the generated data signal and driving source voltage to the pixel unit. The scan driver generates the scan signal and the generated scan signal to the pixel unit. The optical sensor, which is driven by the driving source voltage from the data driver, adjusts brightness of the pixel unit according to ambient light. The data driver receives an external source voltage, generates the driving source voltage, and controls on and off of the driving source voltage.
