The device has a brake amplifier (1) including a low pressure air chamber (BP) that is connected to a vacuum pump (2) by an air circulation pipe (3). The pipe includes an oil collecting unit (4) collecting oil circulating abnormally in the pipe. The unit includes a reservoir (12) receiving the oil from a defective vacuum pump, and is connected to the pipe while being situated below the pipe. The reservoir includes a communicating nozzle (22) i.e. opening, that communicates the reservoir with the atmospheric pressure, where pressure drop of the nozzle is higher than that of the pipe.
