PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain treated water of high purity by further highly removing nitrate or nitrous nitrogen remaining in denitrified treated water due to ANAMMOX microorganisms.
SOLUTION: In this treatment method of nitrogen-containing wastewater, the nitrogen-containing wastewater is subjected to denitrification treatment with ANAMMOX microorganisms being autrophic denitrifying microorganisms using ammonia nitrogen as an electron donor and nitrous nitrogen as an electron receptor. Thereafter, nitrate nitrogen produced as a byproduct by ANAMMOX reaction or remaining nitrous nitrogen is subjected to denitrification treatment. This treated water is circulated to a denitrification treatment process due to ANAMMOX microorganisms. The pH of the obtained treated water is adjusted to 8.8-9.4 to enhance denitrification efficiency.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
|
