PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which shortens processing time for shading correction to reduce storage capacity of correction data used for correction processing. SOLUTION: In the imaging apparatus having a light receiving means for photoelectric conversion, an input means for inputting an electric signal and a correction means for the shading correction, the correction means axisymmetrically performs the shading correction to Y data of Y(xr, y0) based on an xc line. Namely, the correction processing is performed by multiplying the Y data of Y(xl, y0) symmetrically positioned to Y(xr, y0) by a correction coefficient of adj(xl, y0) corresponding to the Y data Y(xl, y0).
