PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can accurately print at a plurality of circumferential positions on the surface of a discoid storage medium. SOLUTION: The printer 1 capable of printing input information for a plurality of circumferential positions of a discoid storage medium 301 set in standing state comprises a disk rotating mechanism 53 for supporting the discoid storage medium 301 by coming into rolling contact with the outer peripheral surface thereof from the underside and rotating the discoid storage medium 301, a drive motor 55 for driving the disk rotating mechanism 53, a means 215 for detecting the rotation angle of the discoid storage medium 301, a means for controlling the drive motor 55 from the detection results of the rotation angle detection means 215, and a means 14 for printing on the discoid storage medium 301.
