PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel capable of equipping a projection part of dielectric layer which contacts a barrier rib, by protruding to the rear substrate side from the rear face side of the front substrate without causing an increase in a manufacturing process. SOLUTION: In the plasma display panel 1, the dielectric layer 11 to cover a pair of row electrodes (X, Y) at the rear face of the front substrate 10 is uniform in thickness all over the face, and has a dielectric projection part 11A which projects to the rear face side than other portion in the location on a light shielding layer 30 equipped between the bus electrodes Xb, Yb constituting the pair of row electrodes (X, Y).
