PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard disk drive allowing a user to erase collectively the title already dubbed to another recording medium and not to be stored on the hard disk by the user's own operation after confirmation. SOLUTION: The stop operation determining means determines that the dubbing is not stopped while dubbing operation is carried out from the HD to a DVD, and the dubbing end flag recording means turns on a dubbing end flag when the dubbing is completed and records a table on the HD to show the relations between the title number and the dubbing end flags. When the dubbed titles are erased collectively, the title detector detects the titles of the title number having the dubbing end flags set ON by referring to the table. When the title number determining means determines that the detected number of titles is not 0, the batch erasing means erases the titles of the detected number. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
