PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which can prevent deterioration of manufacturing efficiency and occurrence of defective display. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with: an array substrate 10 having a first alignment film on the surface; a counter substrate 20 which has a second alignment film on the surface and is disposed opposite to the array substrate 10 such that a rubbing direction 14R of the first alignment film and a rubbing direction 23R of the second alignment film become parallel to each other; a sealing material 3 which bonds the array substrate 10 and the counter substrate 20 with a predetermined gap formed therebetween; and a liquid crystal layer 30 which is held in the gap between the array substrate 10 and the counter substrate 20, wherein the seal material 3 is arranged so as to form at least one injection port 50 for injecting liquid crystal material near at least one corner C1 of opposing corners along the rubbing directions 14R, 23R on the liquid crystal display device.
