PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant deterioration detector capable of detecting precisely the deterioration condition of a lubricant, and a bearing with the detector capable of detecting precisely the deterioration condition of the sealed lubricant in real time. SOLUTION: This lubricant deterioration detector is provided with a light emitting part 2 and a photoreception part 3 with the lubricant 5 of a detection object interposed therebetween, and a determination part for detecting an amount of a foreign matter contaminated into the lubricant 5, by finding a light transmittance of the lubricant 5, based on an output from the photoreception part 3.
