PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift operation mechanism of a transmission capable of compactly constituting the transmission, by preventing an enlargement of the transmission, while maximally enhancing detecting accuracy of a shift switch, when arranging the shift switch, in the shift operation mechanism of the transmission. SOLUTION: An extension part 35a extending to the transmission front side more than a support part 23 of a clutch housing 2, is arranged in a front end part of a control rod 35.
