PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric compressor allowing higher efficiency of assembly work than before and reuse of a glass sealed terminal. SOLUTION: This electric compressor is provided with a compression mechanism, an electric motor for driving the compression mechanism, and a housing storing the compression mechanism and the electric motor. An opening formed in the housing is blocked by a lid member to which the sealed terminal is attached, and an electrical conductive pin of the sealed terminal is connected with a lead wire of the electric motor. Insulation treatment is applied to the whole inner face of the housing and an inner face of the lid member to which the sealed terminal is attached. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
