PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently provide a xanthocillin analog having various physiological activities by stereoselectively producing it. SOLUTION: The xanthocillin analog(4) is produced by condensation reaction between a tin compound of formula(1) and a compound of formula(2) in the presence of a group 10 or group 11 metal catalyst into a compound(3) followed by dehydrating it.
