PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiseptic or antifungal agent composition for the antiseptic or antifungal treatments of un-dried woods having high water contents, and to provide a method for producing antiseptic or antifungal dried wood having low water content. SOLUTION: This antiseptic or antifungal agent composition for the antiseptic or antifungal treatments of the un-dried woods having water contents of≥30 wt.% is characterized by containing an antiseptic or antifungal agent such as methyl benzimidazol-2-yl carbamate, 2,3,5,6-tetrachloro-4-sulfonylmethylpyridine, 2-methylisothiazolin-3-one, 4-chloro-2-methylisothiazolin-3-one, 4,5-dichloro-2-n-octylisothiazolin-3-one, 2-n-octylisothiazolin-3-one, or 3-iodo-2-propynyl butyl carbamate. The method for producing the antiseptic or antifungal dried wood having a water content of≤25 wt.% comprises treating the un-dried woods having water contents of≥30 wt.% with the above-mentioned composition and then artificially drying the treated wood.
