The invention relates to a device for assisting a parking process of a vehicle (1), in particular of a motor vehicle, into a parking space (22) with a first sensor (6) which records a region to the side of the vehicle (1) and has a transmitter and a receiver which receives a signal which has been emitted by the transmitter and is reflected at an object (9) arranged in the region of the parking space. For precision assistance in parking it is proposed that a second sensor (8) which receives, by means of a receiver, the signal which has been emitted by the transmitter of the first sensor (6) and is reflected at the object (9) be provided. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for assisting in a process of parking a vehicle into a parking space in which, when the vehicle travels past the parking space, a signal is emitted by a first sensor and is reflected at an object which is arranged in the region of the parking space, and in which the reflected signal is received by the first sensor and by a second sensor which is in a listening mode. |
