<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a display screen which enables a user to intuitively, quickly and easily understand how to use functions. <P>SOLUTION: A memory unit 103 stores a table in which the operation specification information for specifying the event of a temporary operation imitating the operation of the user on the display screen for explaining the operation and the explanation specification information for specifying the display screen or the explanation of the temporary operation are arranged. A help demonstration control program 102 generates the event of the temporary operation specified by the operation specification information in correspondence to the time, and instructs the display of the explanation specified by the explanation specification information. A key event processing section 93 processes the event of the generated temporary operation so as to temporarily set a set value in the display screen for explaining the operation by the user.
