<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hub unit for preventing generation of a false impression of a bearing track part, by preventing the occurrence of fretting abrasion by vibration in transport. <P>SOLUTION: This hub unit 1 is half-sealed by a seal member 29 and a cover 44 by filling nitrogen gas being inert gas in a rolling body arranging space 20k for arranging a rolling body 27 formed of an inner peripheral surface 22n of an outer ring 22 and an outer peripheral surface 3g of a hub wheel 3, and is constituted so that the nitrogen gas does not flow out to an external space. The seal member 29 equipped in a vehicle outer side end part is formed as an elastic seal body, and is fixed at one end to the outer ring 22, and brings the other end into close contact with the hub wheel 3 while being elastically deformed, and has operation for preventing intrusion of water into the rolling body arranging space 20k from the external space.
