<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen production system used for a dispersion type fuel cell power generation unit, which can cope with frequent starting stops even without using hardly obtainable inert gas, though the reduction in the characteristics of a catalyst is generally prevented by substituting the inside of the system with inert gas such as nitrogen upon the starting stop. <P>SOLUTION: Raw materials and water in previously set quantities are fed to a modification part 1 upon the start of the system, thereafter, in a state the feed of the raw materials and water is stopped, a modification heating part 5 is operated, the modification part 1 is heated to a previously set temperature or above, thereafter, the feed of the raw materials and water is restarted, thus carbon precipitation caused by the thermal decomposition of the raw materials is remarkably reduced, and the reduction of catalytic activity, the clogging of a gas flow passage and the increase in the pressure loss of a gas feed passage caused by carbon precipitation are prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
