<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion conductor having high ionic conductivity in a wide temperature range. <P>SOLUTION: The ion conductor includes an electrolyte and a liquid crystalline compound A and at least a kind of liquid crystalline compound B of R<SB>2</SB>-C<SB>6</SB>H<SB>8</SB>C<SB>6</SB>H<SB>4</SB>-Rc, NC-C<SB>6</SB>H<SB>4</SB>C<SB>6</SB>H<SB>4</SB>-OR<SB>3</SB>, NC-C<SB>6</SB>H<SB>4</SB>-CH(OCH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>2</SB>CH-C<SB>4</SB>, NC-C<SB>6</SB>H<SB>4</SB>C<SB>6</SB>H<SB>4</SB>-R<SB>5</SB>and NC-C<SB>6</SB>H<SB>4</SB>OCOC<SB>6</SB>H<SB>4</SB>-R<SB>6</SB>, wherein R<SB>1</SB>represents a 2-5 C straight chain alkyl group, R<SB>2</SB>to R<SB>5</SB>represent a 3-9 C straight chain alkyl group, R<SB>6</SB>represents a 2-10 C straight chain alkyl group, R<SB>A</SB>represents cyano group or fluorine, R<SB>B</SB>represents hydrogen, cyano group or fluorine, R<SB>C</SB>represents cyano group, methoxy group or fluorne, X represents p-phenylene group or 1,4-cyclo hexylene group, Y represents nothing, p-phenylene group or ester group and Z represents nothing or ester group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
