<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensively producible plant-growing mat suitable for growing plants. <P>SOLUTION: The plant-growing mat is structured as follows: a fibrous raised material 4 made of synthetic resin is stuck to the upper surface of an open-cell-provided porous-ceramic base 2 which is about 25-60 mm thick and one side of which is about 300-1,000 mm long; and fertile soil 5 necessary for plant growth is admixed to the raised material 4. When seeds, stems and leaves of a plant 7 are sown on the fertile soil 5 to be germinated and rooted, root hairs get entangled around the raised material 4 and get into the open cells of the ceramic base 2 to be fixed therein so that the plant 7 grows. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
