<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow simulation method for a viscoelastic fluid, which can define the circular flow part in the viscoelastic fluid with good precision and also sharply reduce the calculation load. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises the following steps: forming an initial calculation grid of the flow passage (step 01); giving uniform-flow conditions to the initial calculation grid as the initial values (step 02); obtaining the solution of the flow field by the numerical calculation about a non-Newtonian pure viscous fluid (step 03); based on the obtained solution, by the adaptive grid refinement method according to the movement of the grid points, moving the grid points of the initial calculation grid so that the calculation grid of the circular flow part may be dense and the one of the uniform-flow part coarse to renew the calculation grid (step 04); giving the renewed calculation grid the solution obtained on the non-Newtonian pure viscous fluid as the initial values (step 05); and obtaining the solution of the flow field by the numerical calculation about the viscoelastic fluid (step 06). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
